A failed cabin air filter, you'll know from obstructed airflow through the HVAC vents, the vents whistling, and a stale smell on the interior.
$60 to $75, according to RepairPal. That's if you have a Mitsubishi dealer take care of it. It can also vary by model. Changing the cabin filter in a Mitsubishi Mirage, for instance, can run $60 to $70. Mitsubishi Outlander engine filter replacement, on the other hand, can run $45 to $55.
Having to replace other parts, like the air filter housing, for instance, can factor into pricing, too. If you're changing air filters DIY, though, you can save money. Just be sure to use OEM replacements.
